Weekend

Weekend

I guess I should have things to write about regarding the weekend, but I'm not sure that I do.

Saturday was eventful. First I went to the 50th anniversary of the Norrlands Nations Lördagsfika, to perform my duties as Nation appointed photographer. And of course to munch on all sorts of delicious treats. It was a nice affair, particularly since it was outdoors and the weather was impeccable; sunny, blue skies and warm. I hung out there for a while, shooting and talking to my girl and some of my norrlands acquaintances. Pictures will be up soon.
Then I had just about enough time to go home and relax a while before going to participate in my Girls graduation ceremony in the prestigious Old University building. Although it was a parade of nurses in summer dresses, the whole ceremony was a bit of a drag. I sat in a back row, trying to get one or two stable shots of my girl but failing miserably. Anyway, she got her diploma, speeches were made and then we went on to the real party at the Girl's house. Good food, wine, presents (well, not for me, for Her) and nice people. So we spent a few hours there just blabbing and eating. And then suddenly it was late and we were both very tired.

Then sunday we took a small daytrip to Öregrund to see some friends. It was like entering another world, coming out to a cabin by the ocean. Even though we were only there a few hours we did have time for variuos (in-)activities such as sunbathing, swimming (1st for the year!), playing boule..
Then sunday evening I watched Transamerica with a friend. It was a great movie and I revealed my generally critical viewpoint by giving the greatest of compliments: "It didn't dissapoint me in any way". Usually, I tend to say things like "It was great, but...". No, transamerica may have shown a few butts but there were no buts. Simply a well-acted, well-written, well-filmed cute and funny story of the unusual kind.
